Operating towards becoming a carbon neutral company is something we care a lot about; and have long been implementing environmentally friendly practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Our operating and purchasing policies ensures that active measures are taken to recycle and reuse our resources, optimise the use of electricity and reduce unnecessary paper, water and office waste. A program for turning our leftover food scraps into a rich fertiliser is also in operation where we maintain our own worm farm and composting bins.
A contribution for the remainder of emissions, stemming from fossil fuels is calculated through the Carbon Neutral program and includes staff travelling to and from work as well as all meetings and travel for business. A corresponding donation is made to fund carbon abatement projects and support organisations that offer and promote renewable energy sources for South Australia and beyond.
CDAA chooses to pay the credit from its emissions to Trees For Life's Carbon Neutral Program as a 'Bronze' Supporter, with funds specifically going to tree planting and environmental regeneration in South Australia. We also actively seek and maintain partnerships with suppliers and service providers that employ eco friendly practices.
