History

CDAA was founded by Colville Netté, former commercial designer, come entrepreneur. With more than 17 years of applied experience in visual communication, advertising, web technology and online marketing, Colville has been a director, and founder, of multiple Australian companies and businesses including:

  • e-WEB Online Advertising
  • e-SEL Online Advertising
  • 110 Room, and;
  • Optima PrePress Pty Ltd

Colville's vision was to create a company that combined both brand and marketing communication, with web technology services, as an integrated offering. Originally established in Kent Town, South Australia in 1996, the company’s purpose was to enter the marketplace using an advertising approach to providing its services in print and online media. With a need to expand its operations further due to growth, larger premises were secured north east of the City in Collinswood in 1998.

CDAA quickly became a benchmark service provider for its ability to apply advertising and marketing based principles to create effective digital communication solutions, particular in the online environment. This success led to the company becoming the service provider of choice for the original Yellow Pages Online directory which had only been recently established.

With a focus on developing a codified business strategy, corporate level alliances were formed with Australia’s largest hosting provider, WebCentral Pty Ltd and Ecommerce Payment Gateway provider, Camtech Corporation.

These alliances remain today with CDAA reaching the highest national status level and also becoming the largest Gold Partner for WebCentral in South Australia and one of the more successful partners on a national scale. CDAA is also a registered channels partner and authorised integration specialist for Camtech Corporation.

In 2002, CDAA again outgrew its premises, moving its office operations to the Wellington Centre in Payneham, South Australia. With the stability of the company firmly secured, the company turned its attention to community based projects. CDAA adopted a policy of working with a select number of not-for-profit organisations each year, assisting them to achieving their goals by evolving their brand and adopting web based technologies.

Some of the these organisations include CanDoGroup of Charities, Connecting Up Australia, Animal Welfare League, Channel C31 Community Television, Catherine House, Trees for Life and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. Many of these relationships remain to this day and the company continues to seek out, and take on new projects in this greatly needed area.

By the 2004 the company had extended its offices to accommodate for its growing team of industry professionals. A specialised project team was formed to develop and deploy custom web based application solutions to the marketplace.  Due to the company’s proven capability to work with the .NET Framework, SQL server and other Microsoft Technologies, CDAA became a Microsoft Certified Partner.

Our expertise in the .NET Framework led to the company becoming part of the DotNetNuke ‘Ecosystem’ incorporating more than 600,000 users, developers, software vendors worldwide.  CDAA quickly established itself as one of Australian’s more experienced system integrator of the DotNetNuke framework which is one of the world’s most successful and comprehensive web based platforms for content management and custom application development.

With a growing number of corporate and government clients, the company expanded its content management capabilities to become an authorised software integration partner for CentricMinds, an Australian based Enterprise Web Content Management System (WCMS) Development Company.

With many clients expanding their dependence on online technologies by 2007, CDAA embarked developing online asset management and maintenance services that ensure their ongoing reliability and support. In 2008 the company took its entire project management infrastructure online and launched a range of service level agreements and maintenance services.

Further continuing the company’s investment in online support infrastructure in 2009, CDAA extended its range of dedicated hosting and SQL servers which are supported within the WebCentral national data centre. The company was recently appointed the first global Gold Partner in Australia of the DotNetNuke Corporation based in the US.

CDAA continues to maintain client relationships formed from its fledgling days, and continues to provide project support for community groups. With an outstanding alliance partner network our achievements continue to fuel new and exciting strategies for developing the business well into the future.
