The Maggie Beer brand is well established in the gourmet food industry being intrinsically linked to the reputation, history and ongoing activities of Maggie Beer, the person. A long history as a restaurateur in the Barossa Valley at the famous Pheasant Farm restaurant together with regular television and other media appearances have created strong market recognition and reinforcement of the Maggie beer brand.

CDAA was approached due to its proven certified experience in Microsoft technologies and expertise in user engagement. Increasing demand for online products and services had led Maggie Beer to seek a solution to increase user engagement levels and support the increasing visitor traffic to its popular online shop. 
 

CDAA designers embarked on a series of website interface changes without disrupting the existing core structure which was required to be retained for the initial project phase. A warm welcoming message area now greets customers while a colour system was implemented to extend the new product packaging.

On a technical front the challenge lay in the requirement to retain the previous legacy Content Management System, while strengthening its platform capacity and reliability. To achieve this the underlying database platform was replaced with purpose built Microsoft SQL Server solution.
