The Department of Transport Energy and Infrastructure (DPTI) is the South Australian Government Department responsible for coordinating infrastructure planning and development, and facilitating the timely delivery of strategic projects. Strategic projects have significant employment and economic benefits to the state, both direct and indirect.

DPTI contracted CDAA to develop and maintain a web based solution which allows the tracking and monitoring of strategic projects, and the employee resources they utilise. The Employment Data Collection System (EDCS) allows DPTI to capture and analyse the work undertaken by Contractors working on these projects. EDCS identifies the extent of these labour benefits throughout the economy, as well as meeting the statutory requirements of the Workforce Participation and Industry Participation Policies.
