“Many people ask me why CDAA invests so much time and energy into non-profit and community based projects. Community support is not simply a hand-out for us; it’s part of our culture and strategic plan as an agency.”

COLVILLE NETTE, DIRECTOR

Each year, CDAA works with a select number of community and not-for-profit organisations, assisting them in achieving their goals to evolve their brand and adapt web based technologies to great effect.

Some of the organisations that we have worked with include CanDoGroup of Charities, Animal Welfare League, Channel C31 Community Television, Catherine House, Trees for Life and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists to name a few.

How it works
At CDAA we adopt a strategy of providing only our very best solution and service, regardless of the financial status of the client or project we take on. After all, developing a brand, or building an interactive website is no less critical for a not-for-profit organisation than it would be for any other client.

Our experience has taught us that the model of discounting fees in order to keep costs down can negatively impact and compromise the outcome of a solution. This happens in failing to allow for sufficient time and resources. Rather than discounting, we’ll quote the right solution and process for delivering it at our normal charge out rate of service. We then invoice the work throughout the project course and provide a pre-agreed, tax deductable donation upon completion of the project.

The amount donated by CDAA will vary depending on the size and nature of the project and is usually based on a percentage of the consultancy value. In special cases, CDAA may choose to donate the entire consultancy.

The donation not only ensures much needed funds are channeled back to the organisation, they are sent directly to the areas needed most. These aresas are to be determined both by the client and CDAA.

Providing a donation in this form, allows us to incorporate this as part of our marketing planning, plus there are other financial tax benefits with expense incurred for both our agency and the client.

It is our opinion that this strategy forms a much better platform to develop a mutually respectful and beneficial relationship.  A real sense of value and understanding is created amongst all parties and neither the solution, or the process for delivering it is compromised.

Support Features:

  • Only providing our best solution and service if offered, regardless of the financial status of the client.
  • The solution and delivery is not comprised through a discounting strategy.
  • No complex discounting of fees and charges that need to be tracked, or managed.
  • A single pre-agreed tax deductable donation is made per project, which is made upon completion and payment of the consultancy.
  • Mutual financial and marketing benefits for CDAA and the selected not for profit organisation.
  • Improved platform to develop and build on a mutually respectful and beneficial relationship.

 Who can Apply?
Only a select number of organisations are chosen each year to participate in CDAA’s community support programmes. The selection process involves reviewing the services required, availability of resources and the alignment of values between both CDAA and the organisation.
